Kailas Trail Running Team

Kailas Trail Running Team

After having introduced all the athletes of the Kailas Trail Running Team to you all previously, today I will take you to delve deeper and get to know each of these athletes individually, as if we were getting a little closer.
For the first person, I would like to start with Por, Attaphon Inthachak, or "Por Dod-Deaw" (Lonely Por), a name we are all very familiar with.
.
“Be patient and steadfast in what you do.”
.

Attaphon Inthachak, nicknamed Por or with the nickname Por Dod-Deaw, was born on December 21, 1988. He is a young man from Chiang Rai who loves exercising with a passion. Initially, Por started as a mountain bike athlete, and he spent about 3 years as a cyclist, during which he earned the title of Thailand Champion in the Cross-Country mountain bike competition, age group 30-39, class B, in 2018. During that time, Por also had the opportunity to participate in adventure sports—running, swimming, paddling, and cycling—which led him to discover trail running and served as the starting point for his transition into becoming the full-time trail runner we see today.
.
“My goal from now on is to push myself to become an elite trail runner within these next 2-3 years,” Por told me with a firm voice and determined eyes.
.

With his clear goals, determination, and diligent patience, Por has won championships in many trail running events, such as the Ultra-Trail Nan 100 km (actual distance 111.00 km) in Nan province in 2019 with a time of 14:22:04 hours, the CM6 (actual CM5 distance 105 km) in 14:22:43 hours at the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre in the same year, or the Langka Luang Doi Mod Trail 43 km (actual distance 42.70 km) in 2020 at Khun Chae National Park, Chiang Rai province, with a time of 5:37:09 hours, among many others.
.
When I asked about his favorite trail running race and his dream race, Por told me this:
“Honestly, I like every race because each has its own unique charm. But if I had to choose one, I would choose the Langka Luang Doi Mod Trail. It’s a quite difficult course with beautiful scenery and still maintains a very rich forest environment. As for my dream race, it would have to be the UTMB (The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc) in France, which is like the Olympics for trail runners, as many people say.”
.
.
“The item I like most from the Kailas brand is the Fuga Pro 3 shoes. Personally, I’m someone who likes thin-soled shoes, and they are also lightweight and highly agile, which makes the Fuga Pro 3 the best fit for me. I grab them for training and racing most often right now; you could say I’ve fallen in love with them.”
Por described them while showing me his Fuga Pro 3 shoes, which had clearly been through some heavy usage. And for those of you interested in the Fuga Pro 3, just like our Por's, I have a whisper: please wait a little longer, they will definitely be available for sale soon. Stay tuned! ^^
.
Por is a simple, easy-going person and is very much a homebody (seriously, very much so). Aside from going out to train or race, home is where he spends most of his time. This personality is completely different from how he is during a competition, because when Por is on the course, he is determined, focused, strong, and patient, never giving up until he crosses the finish line.

.

For today, I hope you all have gotten to know Por a bit better, feeling a bit closer to him. Most importantly, I would like to ask everyone to support Por and all the athletes of the Kailas Trail Running Team Thailand in their various competitions. If you run into our athletes anywhere, please come say hello and offer your support.

.

Finally, besides Por, I invite you, the Kailas Thailand community, to follow our upcoming athletes as well. Thank you and goodbye.
.
